John is CEO + Co-Founder of Toonstar, the Web3 story studio building the next generation of entertainment IP thru participatory storytelling and unique community experiences. A child of Saturday morning cartoons, he’s on a mission to unlock animation for new + diverse creators around the world. John created and co-produced “The Gimmicks,” the first community-driven weekly animated NFT series made in partnership with Sixth Wall, the digital arm of Mila Kunis’ Orchard Farm Productions. Following the success of “The Gimmicks,” Toonstar launched a second installment of the series, “House of Chico” the first all Latino, adult-animated series in Web3. Prior to Toonstar, he spent over a decade at Warner Bros. and DreamWorks developing franchise properties including Harry Potter, DC, LEGO, Looney Tunes and Shrek, and spearheading innovation in multiple marketing, business development, digital content creation and tech commercialization roles.
